This Question of the Week comes from the Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) group on Linkedin.
We are now paying close attention to details on curb appeal and this is on our list to tackle. One of the bigger problems is gum removal, especially in cases when the gum has been there for years. We’re looking for safe ways to handle it.
We have thought about using a heavy duty pressure washer, but that didn’t remove it. We found some sort of acid that should dissolve the gum, but we are worried that mercuric acid would damage the concrete. We would love a good solution to this never ending problem.
