A Strategic Roadmap for CRE Success

The inaugural REAL STREET Expo will feature a two-day, multi-track conference program offering insight from CRE experts on the strategies which are essential to successfully address today’s critical priorities of cost-effective management of properties and maximizing the value of portfolios. The program also will feature fully accredited CRE courses.

The Exhibit Hall at REAL STREET Expo will showcase up to 100 leading firms from every key commercial real estate sector, including the top real estate advisory firms, Fortune 500 corporations, economic development agencies, property management services, financial services, facilities management suppliers, engineering services and many more.

Conference Directors Jack Rogers (Editor in Chief of Business Facilities) and Anne Vazquez (Editor in Chief of Today’s Facility Manager) have organized a Conference Advisory Board of leading CRE professionals to assist them in defining up to 40 conference sessions and identifying high-profile speakers who will provide the most up-to-date strategic thinking in today’s CRE marketplace.

Board members include:

Peter Shannon, Managing Director and head of the Strategic Consulting Group at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). Peter has more than 25 years of experience in real estate and capital program advisory services. His team of 250 CRE professionals helps companies meet the challenges of mergers and acquisitions; identify innovative workplace solutions; drive organizational change; implement energy and sustainability programs; and engineer the financial optimization of their corporate property portfolios.

John Morris, SIOR, Executive Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Services Lead for the Americas. John’s responsibilities include oversight for the performance of C&W’s nearly 600 brokerage professionals in North and South America. He also oversees Industrial Service’s collaboration with C&W’s other service lines, including Corporate Occupier and Investor Services, Global Consulting and Capital Markets.

Philip Anderson, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of P.W. Anderson and Partners. Philip specializes in international economic development, asset characterization research, corporate site selection and market development. He has completed principal contract research, consulting and representation projects in Germany, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Canada and the U.S., among other locations.

James Ware, PhD, President of the International Facility Management Association’s Corporate Real Estate Council. In addition to his elected position with IFMA, James is Founder and Executive Director of The Future of Work…unlimited, a firm that advises corporate clients on strategic workplace planning, working with change leaders to design and implement compelling work experiences that foster high performance and employee engagement. He is the co-author of four books on the digital economy.

Byron Smith, President, Metropolitan Realty Group. Byron has been a member of the CCIM Institute’s Faculty since 1994, including a term as Faculty Chair. He teaches CRE courses accredited in 50 states, including Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate and Investment Analysis for Commercial Real Estate. Byron’s firm invests in multi-family and office properties, and provides financial analysis and market analysis consulting services to real estate investors.

Also joining the REAL STREET Expo Conference Advisory Board are Mark Williams, President, Strategic Development Group; Jason Hickey, President, Hickey & Associates; John McBreen, CRE Manager, Ricoh; and Kevin Borg, Director of Facilities and Project Management, UCLA.
