QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Setting Priorities

This Question of the Week comes from the Facilities Management Group on LinkedIn.

I’m a brand new school facilities manager looking for tips and advice on how to be successful. So far, I have put together a list of tools that we will need to keep up basic maintenance on our building. Eventually, we will have a brand new school, and the school has never had a facility manager before in its old building. (They paid someone to take care of every little thing, but now I’m shooting for my team to handle basic maintenance.)

I am looking for recommendations regarding things I need to keep around. And since I’ve never done this before, I’m also looking for good sources for my own professional development.
